The behaviour of opening the web links in new tab has been changed in Firefox 3.6

Links opened in new tab will now open in the immediate next tab to the current page. This behaviour is not something new for Google Chrome users.

If you don’t want to have the new behaviour and revert it back to the old one, then given below are the steps to be  followed.

1. Open a new tab and type about:config

about_config_page_Firefox

2. Click on the promise button to go next stage.

3. Search for the Preference Name browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent

Preference_Name_Firefox

4. Double-click on the resulted row to change the Value to false.

Customize_Value_Firefox

5. All done. Close the tab.

All the new tab windows will be opened in far right in the tab bar.
