How to control YouTube playback using keyboard shortcuts?

While watching YouTube videos, you may tend to skip to next 10 or 15 seconds. Also you would also like to go back to few seconds to repeat the same scene.

You might find it difficult to do this using mouse.

This tip would be useful when you watch videos on YouTube.

Arrows (computer keyboard)

You can control the movie playback using keyboard shortcuts. Using LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys you will move the flash player seek bar backward and forward.

This will be very handy when you watch the clips in full screen mode. Even in normal window mode this tip works as long as the focus is on the YouTube flash player.

Also you can Play/Pause the video using SPACE BAR in the keyboard.

This is a quick tip to open the links in new tab. This tip works in all major browsers Chrome, Firefox and IE.

Formal way of right clicking the menu to get the link in new tab is relatively slow.

Fast and smart way is…

If you have a Mouse with Scroll Button, then just click the link with the scroll button. This opens the link in new tab.

If you don’t have a Mouse with Scroll Button, then use Ctrl + Click on the link to open in new tab.

Group video chat is now easy with Skype

 skype_logoSkype, the popular chat software, has announced the group video chat feature recently.

Group voice chat is an existing feature of Skype; but the group chat had not allowed us to view the videos. But the latest Skype version introduced this new feature which will allow a group of five friends to chat with each other with video.

This is a still in beta version and it is definitely a tough competition to Cisco video conferencing and other software.
