The patter on the clock looks better with the zeros in front, that’s why. Think less about code and more about pattern.

am I missing something on the second to last one – for 4 it has 2^-1 (mod 7) since 2^-1 = 1/2 and the remainder of 1/2 divided by 7 would be 7?

That binary one is a disgrace. Why use 8-bit for a range of 12? Don’t they know that they’re wasting space!

Why, they could fit two clocks in that space if they used 4-bit.
