Finalists for Indian Currency Symbol

Indian currency doesn’t have a unique symbol or identity. So far Rs or Re have been used to denote the Indian currency.

Last year, Govt of India decided to create symbol for Indian currency which should capture the sense of India’s history and culture. A competition was announced last year to public to provide suggestions.

There are five symbols that are shortlisted now, to choose a suitable symbol to represent Indian currency.

One among the five will take part in the Indian history.

    4th is my choice too. It looks easy to write.

    However my honest opinion is, I don’t like all 5 very much. They should have selected some other set of 5. :)

    @anand I am happy for that. As I mentioned in my previous comment, I haven’t liked any of the above 5.
