GMail introduced a new feature called GMail Labs.

This has a collection of GMail features for experimental purpose. This means that you can enable/disable any of the features listed in GMail Labs.

At present there 16 features available now and GMail teams says that this list will grow.

To experience GMail Labs, go to your GMail->Settings->Labs tab and enable the feature you want to use/experiment. Once you enable any of the features, you will find a new icon on the top, as shown in the picture, which will then directly take you to GMail Labs.

Start experiencing a GMail Labs feature before it goes on LIVE.
