Evolution of modern number system from Tamil

Modern number system, (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 ),is developed from Hindu-Arabic number system.

I have got a forward mail that depicts the evolution of modern number system from Tamil number system.

Thought this may not be true, it is definitely something interesting. Worth to check Logic behind Arabic numbers.
