Olympic Torch is a symbol of Olympic games. This is a tradition since the olympic games got introduced in ancient Greece.

Olympic Torch was reintroduced at 1928 Summer Olympics in Armsterdam.

The modern Olympic Games have become as much a global contest among designers and architects as among athletes. Each Olympics is expected to produce a logo, a signature building – and a characteristic torch that symbolizes local tradition and national character. Below, a design history of the Olympic torch form 1936 to the present day.
