How to control YouTube playback using keyboard shortcuts?

While watching YouTube videos, you may tend to skip to next 10 or 15 seconds. Also you would also like to go back to few seconds to repeat the same scene.

You might find it difficult to do this using mouse.

This tip would be useful when you watch videos on YouTube.

Arrows (computer keyboard) 

You can control the movie playback using keyboard shortcuts. Using LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys you will move the flash player seek bar backward and forward.

This will be very handy when you watch the clips in full screen mode. Even in normal window mode this tip works as long as the focus is on the YouTube flash player.

Also you can Play/Pause the video using SPACE BAR in the keyboard.

Google celebrated Pi Day

14th of March is being celebrated as Pi Day. Pi or π (What is pi?)has always been an interesting Mathematical constant to know about.

Google released a doodle on 14th March to join the Pi Day celebrations.

How to disable Google Suggest permanently?

Google Suggest is a cool feature which offers similar to the one you are typing. It works as follows,

If you’re signed in to your Google Account and have Web History enabled, suggestions are drawn from searches you’ve done, searches done by users all over the world, sites in our search index, and ads in our advertising network. If you’re not signed in to your Google Account, no history-based suggestions are displayed.

But some times it displays some irrelevant topics and put you in embarrassing situation. Checkout this blog, googlelolz.com, for more  such weird suggestions

Here is the tip to turn off Google Suggestions permanently.

1. Visit Google Preferences page.
2. In the Query suggestions section, select Do not provide query suggestions

3. Save your settings

Now you are freed from Google Suggest.

Google Chrome 4.0 – Stable release – Out now

Google gives a tough competition in Browser Wars. Remember that Firefox 3.6 got released just few days back. Within a short span of time, Google managed to release it’s next version.

Google released the new version Chrome 4.0 on Jan 25.

Supporting Extensions and Bookmark sync are considered to be the major features in this release along with other security fixes.

Though there are no major changes in the speed, it is still on the top when it comes to speed among other browsers.
