March 31st, 2009 2 comments

Youtube

Sometimes, when you try to view some videos in Youtube, you would have received an message “This video is not available in your country”.

In such cases, this trick may be of some help.

Let’s say http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abcdef12345 is your video URL, where abcdef1235 is the unique video id generated by Youtube.

Modify this URL as follows

http://www.youtube.com/v/abcdef12345

Enter the modified URL in the browser to view the restricted video. Now you will be able to watch the video.

This trick may not work for all videos. Not sure about the reason behind this. But this trick works for most of the videos.

Have fun!

Strong Password

Passwords are the key for your online bank accounts and popular websites. Mostly peoples use their favourite words as password which is not advisable. This would make the hackers job very easy to steal your password.

So creating a strong password is mandatory for everyone to protect their online accounts from hackers. Your password should have at least one Numeric character and at least one Capital letter and at least one special character.

Once you create a password you can test the strength of the password with a simple online tool called “The Password Meter”.

…This application is designed to assess the strength of password strings. The instantaneous visual feedback provides the user a means to improve the strength of their passwords, with a hard focus on breaking the typical bad habits of faulty password formulation…

Here I am creating a password from the following sentence.

Vijay Went to Delhi at the age of  20 and Joined in Army in 1999

vwD@20jA99

You can check the strength of this password here. The one I created here is of health 100%.

Go ahead and check your password strength here and change it if it is weak.
